January Budget Deadline Threatens Boeing Tanker Project

WASHINGTON D.C. (Metro) -- The continuing budget stalemate in Congress still threatens Boeing's massive Air Force refueling tanker project.

Most of the work is being done in Everett.

If Congress can't reach a budget agreement by January, heavy across the board cuts are supposed to go into effect.

Individual agencies will decide which ones.

"The Everett Herald" quotes "The Washington Post" as saying no one involved is making any guesses.

Programs will be cut.
