Everett Woman Convicted On Attempted Murder Charge



EVERETT, Wash.  (Metro)  -- A woman accused of trying to decapitate her husband with an electric saw last fall is found guilty on a charge of attempted murder. 

Forty-four-year-old Renee Bishop-McKean of Everett was also found guilty of first-degree assault for striking the man with a hatchet and a mallet. 

Bishop-McKean denied being the attacker and said someone apparently entered the couple's home on October 14th, 2011, and tried to kill her husband. 

Sentencing is scheduled for October 4th.
