Sysco Workers O.K. Strike Authorization

SEATTLE, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Workers at northwest food supplier Sysco say they're ready to walk off the job.

Over the weekend, members of Teamsters local 117 unanimously passed a strike authorization vote.

KING-TV reports employees are upset with Sysco for seeking concessions in their health care plan.

The union accuses Sysco of failing to bargain in good faith.

A strike could affect food distribution to hospitals, schools and nursing homes.

KING-TV reports Sysco management was unavailable for comment.
