Speeding Kills Drivers In Island, Skagit Counties



BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- Troopers say drivers in Island and Skagit Counties were killed this weekend for driving too fast.

Daniel Torget, 21, of Freeland was speeding on Fish Road on Whidbey Island when he veered off the roadway and struck a power pole early Sunday morning.

He was dead at the scene according to the Washington State Patrol.

And a 22-year-old driver from Mount Vernon was travelling at a high speed on Peter Anderson Road Friday night when his motorcycle collided with the back of a truck and flew off the roadway.
The driver was ejected from the motorcycle and killed. His name has not been released.
