Whatcom Man Jailed For Accident Caused By DUI, Cell Use



SEDRO WOOLLEY, Wash. -- Using a cell phone while Driving Under the Influence ends badly for a Whatcom County driver.

Troopers say the truck 39-year-old Jeff Hruby was driving collided with another car head-on this morning when Hruby drifted across the center line on Parson Creek Road in Skagit.

39-year-old victim Tomas Fulton was transported to Harborview Medical Center for his injuries.

Both vehicles were totaled.

Hruby was booked into Skagit County Jail for vehicular assault.

Police are awaiting toxicology results.
