JBLM Soldiers Guilty In Weapons Theft/Resale

JOINT BASE LEWIS-McCHORD, Wash. (Metro)  -- Two Joint Base Lewis-McChord soldiers have been convicted and a third faces charges in a weapons theft and resale case.

Late last year more then 600-thousand dollars worth of weapons accessories were taken from a secure location on the base.

The equipment included rifle scopes, laser sights and night-vision goggles.

The News Tribune reports earlier this year, about 100 4th Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment soldiers had been placed on lockdown during the investigation.

Specialist Joshua Chandler and Specialist David Green have already been found guilty, while charges are pending against Private Nicholas Solt.
