Whatcom Bankruptcies Continue To Decline

WHATCOM, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Here's a bit of good economic news: bankruptcies are down across Whatcom County.

Just released data from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court Western District in Seattle shows 454 Whatcom County bankruptcy filings had taken place through August of this year.

That's about 13 percent lower than the same time period last year.

Bankruptcy filings are also down this year in Skagit County.
