Bellingham/Whatcom Chamber of Commerce President Ken Oplinger says the Canadian dollar has been on par with the American dollar for about three years.
Before that, they had only been this close over twenty years ago.
He says economic indicators don’t show any real market changes, meaning for the foreseeable future, this is where our respective dollars will stay.
Of the western economies, Oplinger says Canada is doing the best.
