Olympia Basketball Players Not Charged After Hazing At WWU

OLYMPIA, Wash. -- A group of high school basketball players from Olympia will not face criminal charges in connection with a hazing incident that took place at Western Washington University.

The incident occurred on June 29 while players from Capital High School were attending a camp at Western and were staying in a dormitory.

Campus police reportedly found that some sexual contact occurred when eight older boys stormed the room of three younger boys and wrestled them to the floor.

The Whatcom County Prosecutor's Office has declined to file charges in the case.
Deputy Prosecutor Warren Page told the Olympian the parents of the main victim did not want the case prosecuted.
