WENATCHEE, Wash. (Metro) -- A state mobilization has been declared for the 500 plus acre Number One Canyon Fire, burning west of Wenatchee in North Central Washington.
The blaze has threatened about 180 homes, and started as the result of numerous lightning strikes in the area over the weekend.
As of Sunday night, no homes have been lost and no one has been hurt.
Lightning strikes are blamed for at least 80 fires.
An evacuation shelter has been set up at a local church.
