Immigrant Rights Group Endorses Same-Sex Marriage

SEATTLE, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Same-sex marriage Referendum 74 has picked up another endorsement.

It's from the diverse immigrant rights group OneAmerica.

The Seattle Times says group directors struggled with the possibility of alienating some and wondered whether it should even take a position.

OneAmerica's Chairman, Luis Fraga, decided the endorsement was appropriate.

He says that, like gays, immigrants are often victims of discrimination.
