Plan For Border Delays During Holiday Weekend

WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. -- Expect long delays at the border as both the U.S. and Canada have long holiday weekends.

Motorists also should expect a lot of back to school shopping traffic as student in Whatcom County and British Columbia head back to the classroom.

Most retail stores and restaurants will be open Monday, but government offices and banks will be closed.

If you’re heading over the border, check for traffic updates at www.wsdot.wa.gov.
