Teens Arrested In Birch Bay Burglary



BIRCH BAY, Wash. -- Two teens have been arrested on suspicion of breaking into a grocery story in Birch Bay.

The two 14-year-old boys from Birch Bay were booked into the Whatcom County Juvenile Detention Center on Thursday.

They are both facing second degree burglary charges.

The Whatcom County Sheriff's Office reports the boys are suspected of breaking into the Bay Center Grocery on Harborview road and stealing cigarettes on June 27.

Birch Bay has experienced a string of more than 25 thefts and burglaries over the past two months.

Anyone with information is urged to call the sheriff's office.
