Local Authorities Ask For Help Finding Dangerous Man



BLAINE, Wash. -- The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man they say could be a danger to the community.

Thirty-two-year-old Blaine resident Steven Earl Sivo is facing several criminal charges, including second and fourth-degree assault, reckless endangerment and harassment.

Whatcom County Sheriff Bill Elfo says the charges stem from multiple domestic violence incidents.

He says Sivo was fighting with his 22-year-old girlfriend in a car last Wednesday when he intentionally made the car spin out of control near Birch Bay Lynden Road.



Sivo has been convicted of murder and vehicular assault in the past. Elfo says Sivo caused a car to rollover in 2010 with his former girlfriend inside, causing her permanent injuries.

Sivo is 5 feet 9 inches, about 200 pounds. with hazel eyes and brown hair.

He may be driving a 2003 silver Subaru Legacy with Washington license plate AEZ-9685.

Anyone who knows Sivo's whereabouts is asked to call 911.
