Injured Hiker Rescued From Mt. Baker



MOUNT BAKER, Wash. -- Rescue crews retrieved an injured hiker from a trail on Mt. Baker yesterday.

Whatcom County Deputy George Ratayczak says the man hiked up the Park Butte Trail with friends and family, spent the night, then fell on the way down Sunday morning…



Volunteers with Bellingham Mountain Rescue and three other rescue groups responded and carried the injured hiker to the trailhead on a litter.

The man, identified as david Claar of Seattle, was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle.
