Local Restaurant Coming Back From The Dead

BIRCH BAY, Wash. -- A local restaurateur is going to re-open a popular Birch Bay restaurant.

Jack Niemann signed a lease for CJ's Beach House Restaurant on Friday.

The property at 7878 Birch Bay Drive had just been sold to a Canadian investment firm.

Neimann says he will bring back some of the staff that left CJ's when it closed last September, including the head chef...

Neimann is the operator of the Black Forest Steakhouse restaurants in Bellingham and Blaine.

He hopes to reopen CJ's in early November.

This will be the 50th restaurant that Neimann has opened.

He ran a restaurant called the 19th Hole in the same building as CJ's beach house 40 years ago.
