Progress Reported On Taylor Bridge Fire, Lightning Feared

CLE ELUM, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Nearly 1000 firefighters now have the Taylor Bridge wildfire east of Cle Elum about one-third contained at 22,000 acres, but "The Seattle Times" says they're worried about possible lightning this weekend.

They still hope to contain the fire by Sunday.

Roughly 70 homes and 200 outbuildings are gone.

Channel Five says some homeowners are just now getting a first look at the ruins.

Air in the region is now full of smoke and causing breathing problems for some.
