Progress On Taylor Bridge Wildfire, Point Of Origin Found

CLE ELUM, Wash.  (Metro)  -- The explosive Taylor Bridge wildfire is now ten percent contained, but it is still out of control at nearly 29,000 acres.

At least 70 homes have been destroyed so far.

Channel 13 is reporting that the fire started at a construction site run by Conway Construction, a Washington Department of Transportation contractor.

It says Conway could be liable for millions in costs and damages if it's found responsible.

Governor Christine Gregoire earlier declared a state of emergency in Kittitas and Yakima counties due to the Taylor Bridge wildfire making additional firefighting and other resources available.
