12-Year-Old Boy Found Drunk In Back of Pick-Up Truck

BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- A 12-year-old boy was found passed out in the bed of a pick-up truck after apparently getting drunk on alcohol.

A passer-by saw the boy unconscious in the truck near the skate park on Puget Street at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

A police spokesman says firefighters rushed to the scene and determined the boy had been drinking and possibly consuming drugs.

The owner of the truck didn’t know the boy, who was transported to Seattle Children’s Hospital for treatment.

His mother was at work at the time.

Investigators are trying to determine who supplied the boy with alcohol.
