Grant, Garrett Advance To Superior Court General Election



OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Whatcom County District Court Judge David Grant is headed for a general election showdown with challenger Deborra Garrett for the superior court position.

Grant is taking 40 percent of votes so far, while Garrett has 42 percent.

Local political blogger Riley Sweeney says the position two race took on a “partisan bent.”



Candidate Carrie Coppinger Carter trailed in the early count with only 18 percent, and will not advance to the general election.
