BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- A prominent local business is competing among the nation’s best in espresso. The Woods Coffee is one of 20 coffeehouses in the western region competing for the title of America’s Best Coffeehouse. Coffee drinkers are asked to vote online for their favorite shop. The top eight from each region will compete live at Coffee Fest Seattle 2012. Wes Herman, owner of The Woods, says this is about more than just a good cup of coffee. Secret shoppers will also judge the coffeehouses on customer service, drink quality even ambiance of the store. The final three competitors will be named America’s Best Coffeehouse for their region.
