Heavy Canadian Border Traffic Expected This Weekend



BLAINE, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Drivers can expect heavy traffic at the border this weekend. 

That's because most Canadians will be celebrating a three-day weekend. 

What's commonly referred to as the August Long Weekend is normally the most popular weekend in Canada for summer travel. 

The "Herald" notes its also Pride weekend in Vancouver, where more than 600,000 people are expected to attend events. 

Most Canadian banks, schools, and government offices will be closed on Monday.
