City Of Bellingham Accepting Applications For Tourism Grant

BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- The City of Bellingham is accepting applications for the 2013 Tourism Promotion Grant Program.

The program awards grants to large events and projects that bring tourism into our area.

Tara Sundin with Planning and Community Development says this is a competitive grant program and this year, they are handling applications a little bit differently.

Sundin says the department will give special consideration to events taking place outside of the summer months.

Applications are due September 21 by 5 p.m. and are available at City Hall or www.cob.org.
