Soul superstar Chaka Khan has been inundated with booking requests ever since showing off her slimmed-down new look during a performance on the finale of U.S. talent show "American Idol" in May.

The singer, 59, dropped 60 pounds (27.2 kilograms) in a year thanks to extreme dieting and fasting after she was diagnosed with diabetes in 2011, and Khan admits she has seen a significant increase in demand for her live shows as a result of her new physique.

However, the I'm Every Woman hitmaker insists she's not necessarily proud of the coincidence.

She tells America's Sister 2 Sister magazine, "(I'm booked) all the time now. Especially since I lost this weight. I can't get five minutes (to myself). This is a very visual (sic), this business we're in. You'd think that we're in the music of song and audio but that's bulls**t - excuse my language. It's visual first, I'm sad to say."
