WTA Offers Free Bus Rides Thursday, Friday

BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- Whatcom Transportation Authority is offering free rides on all buses tomorrow through Friday in support of Bellingham Whatcom Project Homeless Connect.

PHC is an event that provides homeless people throughout Whatcom County access to medical, legal, educational and employment services.

Maureen McCarthy with WTA says they wanted to ensure homeless members of the community could attend the event, however she says the homeless aren’t the only one’s benefitting from the no-fare days.

McCarthy says the only buses excluded are those serving route 80X to Mount Vernon.

Food and child care will be provided at the Project Homeless Connect event.
