BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- A major contender for the state’s top post is paying Bellingham a visit today.
Gubernatorial candidate and former First District U.S. Congressman Jay Inslee will speak at the Bellingham city club’s monthly meeting at Northwood Hall just before noon.
The democrat talked about his campaign’s priorities on KGMI’s P.M. Bellingham last night.
Inslee says he has strong ties in Bellingham, including his brother, who is a longtime Bellingham teacher, and his son, who graduated from Western Washington University.
A new Elway poll gives Inslee a boost over Republican Rob McKenna at 43 to 36 percent, but with a huge 21 percent still undecided.
