Seattle Standoff Caused By Sister Biting Brother

SEATTLE, Wash. (Metro)  -- A 33-year-old Seattle woman is jailed on assault charges, after an overnight standoff in north Seattle.

Investigators tell KIRO 7 Eyewitness News the woman is accused of biting her 40-year-old brother during a fight.

He was also punched and suffered cuts to his face.

Dozens of officers descended on the home on Northwest 90th Street with guns drawn, after a 911 call from someone inside the house saying that shots had been fired by a male family member.

After asking the people in the home to come outside several times, negotiators approached and went inside.

No weapons were found.

The victim was treated at Harborview Medical Center.
