WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. -- The Whatcom County Auditor's Office is mailing out primary election ballots Friday.
Auditor Debbie Adelstein says the ballots need to be mailed back by August 7, but voters who have already decided are encouraged to return their ballots sooner.
She says county staff will review the ballots to make sure they can be read by the voting machines.
Adelstein says a voters pamphlet should arrive in the mail along with the primary ballots.
The top-two candidates in each race will move on to the November general election.
