Madonna's house party prompts complaints

Madonna was forced to turn down the music at the house party she threw after her London concert on Tuesday following noise complaints from neighbors.

The "Material Girl" invited A-list pals including singer George Michael and fashion designer Stella McCartney to celebrate at her Mayfair townhouse after she performed for thousands in the British capital's Hyde Park.

However, the noise levels from the bash infuriated local residents at Great Cumberland Place, who called officials at Westminster City Council to complain.

A spokesperson for the council tells Britain's Daily Mirror, "When officers arrived, they could clearly hear music and shouting. In their opinion it was unreasonable on a weekday evening so they served a noise abatement notice on the owner of the house.

"As soon as the notice was received, the volume was turned down and there were no further complaints."
