Man Supected in Assaulting Jogger Turns Himself In

The man suspected of beating a jogger on brown road in Ferndale Thursday evening turned himself into the Whatcom County Jail early this morning.

Whatcom County Sheriff Bill Elfo says 30-year-old Gavin Haggith showed up at the jail around midnight and was booked on investigation for first and second degree assault.

Sheriff's deputies had been looking for Haggith, who they say intentionally swerved his car at a jogger on brown road, then got out of the car and assaulted the jogger, seriously injuring him.
