Lost Hiker Found Dead In Cascade Foothills



NORTH BEND, Wash. (Metro)  -- King County search and rescue workers discovered the body of 50-year-old John Wright of University Place in the Cascade foothills. 

KING 5 News reports the search for Wright resumed this morning, with about 40 searchers and helicopters focusing on the Green Mountain area, where another hiker reported seeing Wright on a trail. 

His body was found just after 2 o'clock Monday afternoon.

Wright, an avid hiker, had been overdue on a day hike since Friday afternoon. 

KING 5 News reports Wright's car was found at the Snoqualmie River Middle Fork Trailhead along Interstate-90.
