Fire Destroys Bainbridge Island Restaurant

BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, Wash. (Metro)  -- Investigators are hoping to get inside a burned-out Bainbridge Island restaurant and bar to determine what started this morning's two-alarm fire.

Q13fox.com reports about 40 firefighters arrived at the 122 Bar and Restaurant just after 3:30 a.m. to find smoke and flames shooting from the building.

The building was fully engulfed and crews were forced to fight the blaze defensively from the outside.

They eventually doused the flames, but extensive structural damage kept investigators from entering the building to trace a cause.

The business closed at about eleven o'clock last night and was believed to be empty at the time of the fire.
