Mosquitoes In One WA County Positive For West Nile

MESA, Wash.  (Metro)  --  It looks like West Nile virus is back in Eastern Washington.

The State Department of Health says mosquitoes collected near Mesa in Franklin County have tested positive for it.

Last year, Franklin, Grant and Yakima Counties reported West Nile virus in mosquitoes and birds, but not in people.

Officials recommend using insect repellent and wearing long-sleeved shirts, long pants and hats in West Nile areas.
