Judge: Zamora To Stay Put In Mental Hospital

MOUNT VERNON, Wash.  (Metro)  -- Mass murderer Isaac Zamora will remain at Western State Hospital indefinitely.

Skagit County Superior Court Judge Michael Rickert made the ruling yesterday, calling Zamora "the most mentally ill criminal in the history of Skagit County."

Goskagit.com reports the state wanted to transfer Zamora to prison to serve out four life sentences.

Zamora killed six people and wounded another four during a shooting rampage in September 2008.
