Poll Shows Most Wash. Oppose Health Insurance Mandate

SEATTLE, Wash.  (Metro)  -- A new poll of 500 Washington residents shows most of those questioned oppose the Obamacare provision that requires people to carry health insurance or pay a penalty.

The SurveyUSA poll, conducted for KING-TV, shows 46 percent disapprove of the entire health-care reform bill, while 41 percent approve of Obamacare and 13 percent are undecided.

The survey shows 64 percent of those questioned oppose the individual mandate portion of the bill and 33 percent support it.

The poll comes just ahead of today's expected U.S. Supreme Court decision on whether the health-care bill is constitutional.
