CLE ELUM, Wash. (Metro) -- Authorities say a man is in custody after allegedly throwing his wife out of a car on Interstate 90 in Kittitas County.
Washington State Patrol says troopers found the woman around 9:10 yesterday morning on the eastbound lanes of the highway about 12 miles east of Cle Elum and had her transported to a hospital.
Officials say a trooper located the suspect's vehicle in the westbound lanes of I-90, pulled it over about 15 miles from where the woman was found, arrested the man, and placed him in a patrol car.
Police say the suspect broke out of the cruiser through a window and attacked the trooper, but was finally subdued and taken into custody.
