Poll: Romney Gains Support, Obama Still Leads In Wash.



SEATTLE, Wash.  (Metro)  -- A new Elway Research poll shows GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney gaining support in Washington state but still trailing President Barack Obama by a large margin. 

The poll, which questioned 408 registered voters statewide between June 13th and 16th, shows Obama with 49 percent, compared to Romney's 41 percent. 

A February Elway poll showed Romney with 38 percent, compared to Obama's 49 percent. 

Obama carried Washington state in the 2008 election with 57-percent of the vote.
