WASHINGTON, D.C (Metro) -- The Pentagon says two soldiers stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord were killed in separate incidents last week while serving in Afghanistan.
Officials say 25-year-old Sergeant Joseph Lilly of Flint, Michigan, and 20-year-old Specialist Trevor Pinnick of Lawrenceville, Illinois, died of wounds suffered when their unit was attacked by insurgents.
Both were assigned to the 18th Engineer Company, 1st Battalion, 37th Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, at JBLM.
