WSP Warns Against Internet Purchase Of Fireworks

WASHINGTON STATE -- Washington State Patrol is informing residents that the purchase of fireworks from anywhere but licensed firework stands is illegal.

Chief Deputy State Fire Marshal Dan Johnson says that many people try to buy fireworks over the internet but unless purchased by a licensed wholesaler, those fireworks will not be delivered.

Johnson adds that if that happens, the wholesaler has no responsibility to refund money.

He advises people to wait and buy from local stands when they open on June 28th

State and county regulations can be found at www.wsp.wa.gov.
