Bellingham Man Gets 32 Years In Prison For Murder

BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- The Bellingham man convicted of murdering his estranged wife is sentenced this morning to 32 years in prison.

Whatcom County Prosecutor David McEachran says he wishes Keayn Dunya could have gotten more time.

McEachran says Dunya is a sociopath and the killing seemed like just another day for Dunya. Kriston Peterman-Dunya was murdered last Fourth of July with a single shotgun blast to the chest.

McEachran says a bitter custody battle over their young son may have been a motive.
