Police Investigating Attempted Kidnapping



BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- Bellingham police officers are investigating a report of an attempted kidnapping on State Street in downtown Bellingham.

A female victim told officers that a man with a knife tried to force her into his truck against her will around 1 a.m. Saturday.

The victim resisted and the suspect fled the area.

He has not been located by officers yet. The suspect is described as a stocky white male in his 30s with a mustache.

He may have been driving a white Dodge Dakota. Anyone with information is asked to contact Bellingham police.
