Deliberations Continue In Bellingham Murder Trial

BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- Jurors resume deliberations this morning in the trial of the Bellingham man accused of murdering his estranged wife.

Keayn Dunya is suspected of killing Kriston Peterman-Dunya with a single shotgun blast to the chest last Fourth of July.

The two had been in the midst of a bitter custody battle over their young son.

Dunya’s former girlfriend, Kara Buchanan, had confessed to the murder and attempted to kill herself.

She changed her story after she was arrested and convicted of rendering criminal assistance.

Buchanan testified against Dunya in his trial.

The jury began deliberations yesterday morning.
