13-year-old Pacific Boy Found Murdered

PACIFIC, Wash. (Metro)  -- A 19-year-old man is being questioned by detectives after police found a 13-year-old boy murdered in an apartment complex in Pacific early this morning.

Pacific Police Department spokeswoman Stephanie Shook said it is still early in the investigation and the circumstances surrounding the boy's killing are not clear.

Shook tells KING 5 News the situation began to unfold just after 3 a.m. when officers were called to the Cobble Court apartments on Ellingson Road.

A parent reported he could not find his children, the 13-year-old victim and a 16-year-old daughter.

Officers found the boy dead in a bedroom in the apartment.

They tracked his sister to the Algona apartment of the 19-year-old being questioned.

She is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, but officers aren't talking about the cause of those injuries.
