Pioneer Ford Shutting Doors

BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- The Pioneer Ford car dealership in Lynden will be closing in the next few weeks.

Pioneer Ford has been acquired by Diehl Ford in Bellingham, and General Manager Mike Diehl says they will close the Lynden dealership.

Diehl says the owners of both companies are focused on making sure their customers will be taken care of after the Lynden closure.

He says the inventory of vehicles at the Lynden dealership will be brought to Diehl Ford.

After hitting the brakes through the recession, Diehl says Ford is now starting to speed up production, meaning more inventory and more choices for Ford customers in the near future.
