Men Arrested After Cattleprod Attack, Kidnapping

TACOMA, Wash. -- Two Ferndale men were arrested last week after allegedly kidnapping and assaulting a Tacoma man with a shotgun and a cattleprod.

The victim told Whatcom County Sheriff's Detectives he was confronted by the two men on April 29 at a trailer on Alderwood Road.

Sheriff Bill Elfo says the assailants escorted the victim from the trailer at gunpoint shocking him with the cattle prod on the way out.

The suspects tried to take his vehicle, but he was able to escape in the vehicle as the men argued with each other.

Search warrants were served for 38-year-old Stanley "Eric" Saunders and 29-year-old Phillip Krist.

They were arrested without incident last Thursday at their homes in Ferndale and in the Sandy Point area.
