WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A suspected Whatcom County drug dealer was arrested following a police chase over the weekend.

Court documents state that in August, a Washington State Patrol trooper making a traffic stop noticed the driver—identified as 39-year-old Johnny Delgado—had an arrest warrant for driving with a suspended license.

A search of his car later recovered large quantities of methamphetamine, opioid pills that were believed to be laced with fentanyl, a gun and a scale.

Two months later, Whatcom County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over Delgado during another routine traffic stop in Bellingham. Once again, they found that he had existing warrants for his arrest.

After getting a search warrant for his car, deputies found large quantities of substances believed to be heroin, fentanyl and meth along with several scales.

In both incidents, Delgado was released from the scene and cited for driving with a suspended license while his cars were taken.

Delgado led Sheriff’s deputies on a car chase on Nov. 29 and later turned himself in to the Whatcom County Jail, where he remains without bail.
