Habitat for Humanity prepares for 22nd annual auction in September

WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Saddle up, Habitat for Humanity is gearing up for its annual auction in Whatcom County.

The auction will begin on Sept. 13 and end at midnight on Sept. 20, with hundreds of items to bid on through Habitat’s online catalog. Auction items will range from local gifts and excursions to travel adventures.

Proceeds from the Whatcom Habitat auction will go directly to funding Habitat’s affordable housing projects across Whatcom County.

Habitat for Humanity in Whatcom County is an affiliate of the international non-profit organization which seeks to eliminate substandard housing by building safe and affordable homes for families.

In Whatcom County, the organization is constructing four townhomes on Todd Lane in Bellingham and preparing to begin work on four new townhomes in Everson this fall.

There are also plans for the construction of over 50 homes that will accommodate to local families in the future.

On Sept. 20, an in-person party will be held at Barnstar Events in Ferndale and to match the venue will be sporting a cowboy theme. Participants are not required to have a ticket to the party to participate in the auction.
