BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A woman was arrested after allegedly hitting several parked cars with her vehicle in downtown Bellingham.

Bellingham Police Lt. Claudia Murphy says that an officer attempted to pull over a car that was driving the wrong way on E. Champion St.

The driver, identified as a 45-year-old woman, initially failed to stop but ended up parking in a loading zone on Railroad Ave with one tire over the curb.

Officers described the driver as “visibly intoxicated” and took her into custody.

Several 911 calls came in around the same time, reporting a car with a similar description had hit three cars in a parking lot on W. Champion St.

The suspect was released from the Whatcom County Jail on Saturday.
