Bellingham man killed in motorcycle accident on I-5 in Bellingham

BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A man was killed in an early morning crash on I-5 in Bellingham.

The Washington State Patrol says that the victim, identified as 20-year-old Brian Bachman, was riding his motorcycle on I-5 northbound around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31.

Just past the Northwest Avenue exit, the rider went off the road on the left side and crashed into a barrier. The force of the crash sent the rider off his bike and onto the road.

He was taken to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.

All lanes of I-5 NB are now back open after being closed for several hours.
