Michael Jackson fans mark 5th anniversary of his death

Michael Jackson’s fans will be taking part in a series of tributes to mark the fifth anniversary of his death.

In Washington D.C. fans are invited to dress up as Jackson for a celebration of his music and videos. That event is set for Wednesday — the anniversary date.

A helicopter company in California is offering private tours over Neverland Ranch — at $175 a pop.

starFans will gather at the Jackson’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday night — to sing, light candles and display flags from around the world.

And in the Netherlands, fans will gather on a beach and light lanterns in Jackson’s memory.

Even five years after his death, Jackson’s career remains hot as ever with the release of a new album, “Xscape.” He “appeared” at this year’s Billboard Music Awards and has posthumously made history, scoring his 29th top 10 hit.
